The Skinny

Game #1: Fireballs def. Sea Serpents 6-0

The Fireballs once again prove their ability to put points on the board.  This time with six goals, by six different players!  Tanner and Jimmy scored their first goals of the season and Branden launched one from outside the box, up and over EVERYBODY!  It was the biggest, baddest, longest goal I've seen all season. Well done, Branden! 

Ethan had a goal and a sweet assist to setup Jimmy's goal.  Patrick and Zach accounted for the other 2 goals for the Fireballs.  Zach has six for the season, positioning him among the top scorers in the league.

The Fireballs are in 2nd place in the league at 5-0-1 and 24 goals while only allowing 2 goals.  Next week they face-off against the top ranked Galaxy at 10:20 AM.  The game is pegged as the game of week and probably the most anticipated match-up of the season.

Galaxy def Creepers 1-0

DEFENSIVE BATTLE!  The Creepers put the Galaxy on lock down.  The Galaxy threw everything they had at the Creepers, but couldn't put a goal together and the teams entered halftime tied at 0-0.  

Deep in the 2nd half, Shervin created an opportunity and found the back of the net to put the Galaxy up 1-0.  The Creepers pushed back and had the Galaxy on their heels in the box for what seemed like 5 minutes.  The Creepers had some opportunities, but ultimately the Galaxy held them off and squeaked out a 1-0 victory.

B-Dawg in full effect...right up until he forgot to take the ball with him about 2 steps later!  He's just saving up to the put the hurt on the Fireballs next week.   When asked about next weeks game, Brody said "We're gonna beat them like they stole something!"

Red Vipers def Blue Devils 3-1

The Blue Devils jumped out to a quick 1-0 advantage and put the pressure on Red Vipers early.  Evan R wasn't having it through. The sequence below is him working his way through the defense and ultimately going Beast Mode to force the action and the goal to tie it at 1-1.

Make It Happen!  (3 of 3)

The teams entered halftime tied at 1-1.  In the 2nd half, the Vipers out played the Blue Devils.  Evan L scored one and Evan R got another, for a 3-1 Red Devil victory.

White Fire def Slime Ballz 5-0

Unfortunately, I didn't get to watch any of this game...but the White Fire continue a strong season with 5-0 "W".
